ธนาคาร ซีไอเอ็มบี ไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) ได้รับอนุญาตจากธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทยให้แต่งตั้ง ดาโต๊ะ อับดุล ราฮ์มัน บิน อาฮ์มัด ดำรงตำแหน่งกรรมการ มีผลตั้งแต่วันที่ 6 ตุลาคม 2563 เป็นต้นไป
ดาโต๊ะ อับดุล ราฮ์มัน บิน อาฮ์มัด เข้ามารับตำแหน่ง ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและกรรมการบริหารของกลุ่มซีไอเอ็มบี และ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและกรรมการบริหารของซีไอเอ็มบี แบงก์ เบอร์ฮาด เมื่อวันที่ 10 มิ.ย. 2563 ทั้งนี้ นับเป็นครั้งแรกที่ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารกลุ่มซีไอเอ็มบีเข้ามานั่งเป็นกรรมการในธนาคาร ซีไอเอ็มบี ไทย
ดาโต๊ะ อับดุล ราฮ์มัน บิน อาฮ์มัด มีประสบการณ์ทำงานจากการดำรงตำแหน่ง กรรมการที่ไม่ใช่กรรมการอิสระ และประธานที่ไม่ใช่กรรมการบริหาร จาก Sime Darby Berhad กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่และประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารกลุ่ม Permodalan Nasional Berhad ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร Ekuiti Nasional Berhad และประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร Media Prima Berhad
ดาโต๊ะ อับดุล ราฮ์มัน บิน อาฮ์มัด สำเร็จการศึกษา Master in Arts (MA) (Economics) จาก Cambridge University และเป็นสมาชิกของ the Institute of Chartered Accountant England and Wales (ICAEW)
CIMB THAI PCL. appoints Dato’ Abdul Rahman Bin Ahmad as Director
CIMB THAI PCL. is authorized by the Bank of Thailand to appoint Dato’ Abdul Rahman Bin Ahmad as Director, effective from 6 October 2020 onwards.
Dato’ Abdul Rahman Bin Ahmad was appointed as the Group Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director for CIMB and Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of CIMB Bank Berhad effective June 10. This is the first time that CIMB Group Chief Executive Officer has served as a director of CIMB Thai Bank.
Dato’ Abdul Rahman Bin Ahmad has served as a Non Independent and Non Executive Chairman of Sime Darby Berhad, President & Group CEO of Permodalan Nasional Berhad, CEO of Ekuiti Nasional Berhad and CEO of Media Prima Berhad
