สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติไทยและกัมพูชา เริ่มแล้ว!!! ปฏิบัติการกวาดล้างแก๊งคอลเซ็นเตอร์ในกัมพูชา และคนไทยขายชาติ
วันนี้ (28 สิงหาคม 2567) เวลา 09.00 น. พล.ต.อ.กิตติ์รัฐ พันธุ์เพ็ชร์ รองผู้บัญชาการตำรวจแห่งชาติ/ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ (รอง ผบ.ตร./ผอ.ศปอส.ตร.) มอบหมายให้ พล.ต.ท.ธัชชัย ปิตะนีละบุตร ผู้ช่วย ผบ.ตร./รอง ผอ.ศปอส.ตร. และคณะฯ เดินทางไปประชุมปฏิบัติการร่วมกวาดล้างแก๊งคอลเซ็นเตอร์ภายใต้ “ยุทธการระเบิดสะพานโจร” ณ สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติกัมพูชา กรุงพนมเปญ ราชอาณาจักรกัมพูชา โดยมี พล.ต.ท.แสง เธียริธ รองผู้บัญชาการตำรวจแห่งชาติกัมพูชา และคณะผู้บริหาร เข้าร่วมการประชุม
การประชุมครั้งนี้เกิดขึ้นหลังจากที่มีการรวบรวมพยานหลักฐานและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลของกลุ่มมิจฉาชีพ (แก๊งคอลเซ็นเตอร์) พบว่ามีการตั้งฐานปฏิบัติการจำนวนมากอยู่ในกัมพูชา เพื่อหลบหนีการดำเนินคดีของหน่วยงานบังคับใช้กฎหมายไทย โดยแก๊งคอลเซ็นเตอร์เหล่านี้จะมีคนจีนเป็นผู้อยู่เบื้องหลังร่วมกับคนไทย มาหลอกลวงประชาชนผู้บริสุทธิ์ให้สูญเสียทรัพย์สินเป็นจำนวนมาก ทั้งสองประเทศจึงได้มีการประชุมร่วมมือกันเพื่อดำเนินการกวาดล้างแก๊งคอลเซ็นเตอร์ครั้งใหญ่ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งผู้บงการและตัวการสำคัญในกลุ่มแก๊งคอลเซ็นเตอร์ ส่วนคนไทยที่มาร่วมมือกับคนต่างชาติมาหลอกลวงเอาทรัพย์สินของคนไทยไปให้คนต่างชาติ จะมีการกวาดล้างส่งตัวกลับไทย ดำเนินคดี ทั้งการทำงานโดยไม่ได้รับอนุญาตและการหลบหนีเข้าเมือง ในกรณีที่ยังไม่มีหมายจับจากไทย
พล.ต.ท.ธัชชัยฯ กล่าวว่า ความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและกัมพูชาในการปราบปรามแก๊งคอลเซ็นเตอร์ครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นสัญญาณที่ดีที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นของทั้งสองประเทศในการต่อสู้กับอาชญากรรมข้ามชาติ และดำเนินการอย่างเด็ดขาดกับคนไทยที่ขายชาติ ไปทำงานให้กับคนต่างชาติมาปล้นทรัพย์สินคนไทยไปให้คนต่างชาติ ซึ่งทางสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติจะมีมาตรการทางด้านตรวจคนเข้าเมือง ในการติดตามกลุ่มคนไทยขายชาติเหล่านี้ที่ออกไปทำงานให้กับแก๊งคอลเซ็นเตอร์
Thai-Cambodian Joint Operation to Crack Down on Call Center Fraud Syndicates in Cambodia
Today, August 28, 2023, at 09:00 AM, under the direction of Police General Kittharath Phanphet, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police (RTP)/Director of the Police Cyber Taskforce (PCT), Police Lieutenant General Thatchai Pitaneelaboot, Assistant Commissioner-General of the RTP/Deputy Director of the PCT, and RTP delegations attended a joint operation meeting to crack down on call center gangs under the ” Operation Destroy the Bridgehead” at the Cambodian National Police headquarters in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia. The meeting was attended by Police Lieutenant General Seang Thearith, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Cambodian National Police, and his executive team.
A joint operation between Thai and Cambodian authorities is set to dismantle a major call center fraud syndicate based in Cambodia. This operation follows an extensive investigation and intelligence analysis, revealing that numerous criminal groups have established their bases in Cambodia to evade Thai law enforcement.
These call center gangs, often backed by Chinese masterminds in collaboration with Thai accomplices, have been responsible for defrauding innocent victims of significant amounts of money. The two countries have agreed to launch a large-scale crackdown, specifically targeting the masterminds and key players within these syndicates. Thai nationals involved in these crimes will be repatriated to face charges, including illegal employment and immigration violations.
Pol.Lt.Gen.Thatchai Pitaneelaboot emphasized that this joint effort sends a strong message about the commitment of both nations to combat transnational crime and take decisive action against Thai nationals who betray their country by working for foreign criminals to exploit their fellow citizens. The Royal Thai Police will implement immigration measures to track these individuals who have joined call center gangs.
This collaboration marks a significant step in the fight against cross-border crime and demonstrates the resolve of both Thailand and Cambodia to bring the perpetrators of these scams to justice.
