พลเรือตรี ปารัช รัตนไชยพันธ์ โฆษกกองทัพเรือ เปิดเผยว่า กองบัญชาการป้องกันชายแดนจันทบุรีและตราด ได้ดำเนินการวางตู้คอนเทนเนอร์ในพื้นที่ชายแดนบริเวณบ้านท่าเส้น ตำบลชำราก อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดตราด ซึ่งเป็นมาตรการด้านความมั่นคงที่ดำเนินการอย่างรอบคอบ สอดคล้องกับการปฏิบัติตามถ้อยแถลงร่วม (Joint Statement) ที่ทั้งสองประเทศได้ตกลงกันไว้เมื่อวันที่ 27 ธันวาคม 2569
การดำเนินการดังกล่าวสืบเนื่องจากเหตุการณ์เมื่อวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2569 ซึ่งมีกลุ่มบุคคลลักลอบตัดและรื้อแนวลวดหนามในพื้นที่ ส่งผลให้เกิดการกระทบกระทั่งต่อเนื่องจนถึงวันที่ 17 มกราคม 2569 ตามที่ปรากฏเป็นข่าว การวางตู้คอนเทนเนอร์จึงเป็นมาตรการชั่วคราว เพื่อป้องกันการเกิดเหตุซ้ำ ลดการเผชิญหน้า และลดความหวาดระแวงในพื้นที่
ทั้งนี้ กองทัพเรือได้ดำเนินการด้วยความระมัดระวัง ไม่ให้ส่งผลกระทบต่อการใช้ชีวิตของประชาชนที่อาศัยอยู่ในพื้นที่ โดยเคารพสิทธิมนุษยชนของพลเรือนที่ประกอบอาชีพโดยสุจริต การวางตู้คอนเทนเนอร์จึงดำเนินการเฉพาะในจุดที่จำเป็นเท่านั้น มิได้วางตลอดทั้งแนววางกำลัง โดยเลือกวางในพื้นที่ที่เคยเกิดปัญหาจากการกระทำของบุคคลที่เข้ามาทำลายทรัพย์สินของทางราชการหรือสร้างความไม่สงบ เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาอย่างตรงจุดและเหมาะสม
การวางตู้คอนเทนเนอร์เป็นไปตามแนววางกำลังเดิม มิได้เป็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพพื้นที่ หรือสร้างสถานการณ์ใหม่แต่อย่างใด และกองบัญชาการป้องกันชายแดนจันทบุรีและตราดได้พิจารณาดำเนินการโดยยึดมั่นในถ้อยแถลงการณ์ร่วม (Joint Statement) อย่างเคร่งครัด มาตรการดังกล่าวยังมีส่วนช่วยป้องกันการละเมิดข้อตกลงหยุดยิง และลดความเสี่ยงจากการเผชิญหน้าของกำลังทหารทั้งสองฝ่ายในระหว่างการลาดตระเวน
กองทัพเรือ ขอยืนยันเจตนารมณ์ในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ด้วยความอดทน รอบคอบ เคารพข้อตกลงระหว่างประเทศ และคำนึงถึงประชาชนเป็นศูนย์กลาง พร้อมให้ความร่วมมือกับทุกฝ่าย เพื่อธำรงไว้ซึ่งสันติภาพ ความมั่นคง และความปลอดภัยของประชาชนในพื้นที่ชายแดน
The Royal Thai Navy clarifies placement of containers along the border, underlining adherence to the ceasefire agreement and its aims to reduce tension and enhance security in the area
Rear Admiral Paraj Ratanajaipan, Spokesperson for the Royal Thai Navy, revealed that the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Command has placed containers in the border area near Ban Tha Sen, Chamrak Subdistrict, Mueang District, Trat Province. This is a carefully considered security measure, in line with the Joint Statement agreed upon by both countries on 27 December 2026.
This action was deemed necessary to address not only the incident on 15 January 2026 where individuals illegally cut and dismantled barbed wire fences in the area, but the fact that the incident led to additional and ongoing tense encounters up until 17 January 2026, as reported in the news. The placement of the containers is a temporary measure to prevent the recurrence of further incidents, reduce confrontation and lessen tensions in the area.
The Royal Thai Navy acted cautiously to avoid impacting the lives of residents and civilians engaged in legitimate occupations. Containers were placed only where necessary, not along the entire troop deployment line, and specifically in areas previously affected by acts of vandalism or unrest, to address problems in a direct and appropriate manner.
The placement of containers follows the existing troop deployment line and does not alter the terrain or create any new situation. The Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Command has considered and implemented this action in strict adherence to the Joint Statement. This measure is also aimed at helping to prevent violations of the ceasefire agreement and reduce the risk of confrontation between the two military forces during patrols.
The Royal Thai Navy reaffirms its commitment to performing its duties with patience, prudence, respect for international agreements, and a people-centered approach. We are ready to cooperate with all parties to maintain peace, security and safety for the people in the border areas.
